Flash work

Whilst researching for appropriate flash work it came to my attention that a lot of it was clear vector stuff like below, these are the types of flash I will be avoiding in order to get further with my limitations from the brief.

I will be looking into producing items such as below. simplicity and little detail looks really effective, I may look into adding areas of shading.

Sailor Jerry produces some great sketch work using a limited colour pallet and a firm portfolio of traditional drawings.

I want to produce items similar to these but with much more detail.

My aim is to produce work like this at the end of it all.
